COPE: Learning About Family Transitions from the Child’s Perspective

Are you a Vermont resident facing a family transition such as divorce, separation, or a change in parental rights and responsibilities?  “Coping with Separation and Divorce” is a four-hour educational program focused on the needs of children in all of these contexts and more.  Topics covered in this program include how to understand the process from the child’s perspective, typical reactions of children in transition, developmental needs of children, effective parenting skills, pitfalls to avoid, communication between parents, and protecting children from adult conflict.
